RUTTER, Paige Elizabeth Of Flushing, age 3, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at home surrounded by her family, after a year long battle with cancer. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jack McMaster officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Paige Rutter Memorial Pediatric Playroom Renovation Project, or on line at Paige's website at www.paigerutter.com through the Children's Miracle Network. Visitation 6-8PM Thursday and 11AM-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Paige was born in Flint, Michigan on June 21, 2001. We are so grateful to all of our family, friends and co-workers at Hurley for all the love and support they have given us over this past year. Special thanks to Dr. Inoue, Dr. Onwuzurike, Mary Mitchell-Beren, Hurley Chemo Clinic staff; 2 East Peds staff, Radiation-Oncology staff at the Hurley-Genesys Cancer Institute. Surviving are parents, Andy and Sandi; grandparents, Geneva Swink of Linden, Jack and Mina Rutter of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; great-grandmother, Polly Rutter of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; aunts and uncles, Tracy and Carla Payne of Linden, Jay and Christina Rutter of Medina, Ohio, Brian and Kathy Rutter of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; cousins, Andrew and Ashley Payne, Johnny, Emily and Alex Rutter; many other family members who loved her dearly; Paige's constant companion, her lab, Levi. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gene Swink; uncle, Rodney Swink and great-grandfather, John H. Rutter. Special thanks also, to Dr. Yanik, the Bone Marrow Transplant Team, 7th Floor nursing staff at Mott Children's/University of Michigan. Paige was an amazing little girl, who touched and changed the lives of many who knew her, and some who didn't. |
