| October 9, 2003 Thursday Paige was discharged this evening after two days of successful stem cell harvesting. They were able to collect a whopping nine million stem cells. While they need only two million for the transplant, the remaining will be stored and can be used at a later time if needed. We pray that one transplant will cure Paige, but it's reassuring to know we have extra stem cells if needed. We look forward to a few days at home before next weeks busy schedule arrives. On Monday we'll visit the chemo clinic at Hurley for bloodwork. Then, off to the University of Michigan on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for her follow-up MIBG and CT scans. To close up the busy week, Paige will be admitted to Hurley on Friday to start her 5th round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, this round will require 5 days of hospitalization. Have a good weekend, Andy, Sandi & Paige |
