We returned home this afternoon following the MIBG/CT scans and anxiously awaited the call with the results. We're sad to say that her disease has progressed despite the current chemotherapy. The neuroblastoma is now in both legs and arm bones and there's multiple liver lesions. The previous CT showed only one small liver lesion. All other sites are unchanged. Our only choice at this point is more intensive chemotherapy. The surgery to remove the primary adrenal tumor is out of the question until the bone progression is controlled. The doctors from Ann Arbor and Hurley spoke today and will call us Monday with the plan. We really don't know what else to say. We're heartbroken, but continue to have hope that Paige will respond. Again, we thank everyone for their continued love, support and prayers.
