| Sunday August 8, 2004 There's not much new with Andy and I. We've remained at home for the last few weeks and continued to slowly sort through Paige's things. For the last month we had left everything as is and had no intention of moving her toys, videos and books. But, as the days go by it was getting harder and harder to look at them. For now, we decided to move her wooden kitchen and sink and other bigger toys to the basement. What makes it most difficult is that the realization that Paige is gone is really starting to set in. Since Paige had basically lived in our bedroom her last 2 months, it was in real need of a deep cleaning. I spent an entire day in each of the rooms down stairs and cleaned everything from under beds, baseboards to curtains. We did have a few laughs like when we found about 20 pacifiers under our bed ...we could never figure out where they all went :) We never thought that just moving her things to a new area would leave us with such an empty feeling. It was a very sad day for the both of us. While her bedroom needs some organizing, we don't see any changes being made to her room for a long time. We're leaving Monday for Medina, OH to spend the week with Andy's brother Jay and his wife Christina. The four of us have a great time whenever we're together and we're so looking forward to the days ahead. Nana and Pop-pop even agreed to keep Johnny, Emily and Alex in Greensburg for the week to give us some time together. Thanks Nana and Pop-pop. It will be so much fun! We want to thank everyone for their continued love and support. This last month has been very difficult and we're sure that there will be many more ahead. We get by each day as it comes and we continue to cherish all the wonderful memories we have of Paige. We'll update when we return next weekend. Thanks to my Mom, Tracy, Carla and Ashley for taking care of Levi this week. Make sure to give him lots of hugs and kisses from us while we're gone. Also, thanks to Melanie and Carol for watching the house and flowers. It's very much appreciated. Last, but not least, thanks to Paige's little friend Jackie who's going to watch "Fish" for us while we're gone... we know you'll take good care of him :) Much Love, Andy & Sandi |
