| March 9, 2004 Day +5 of transplant Day 13 in the hospital |
| Today was an OK day. Paige was more awake today and seemed a bit more like herself. There was one time when she was singing along with one of her Disney videos. But, by this evening she was pretty worn out. The nausea and vomiting seems to have slowed, yet the diarrhea is still present. The biggest problem we've had is with her temperature. It stays between 101' and 103' and is minimally reduced with tylenol. We found out today that blood cultures that were drawn on March 6th were positive for bacteria. We're waiting for the exact identification so the correct antiobiotics can be ordered. Until then, they've started her on three different antibiotics to gvie her some coverage. I'll give more information on the blood cultures situation as soon as we know. Thanks for checking on Paige. We're hoping for a nice, boring day tomorrow :) Special thanks to Aunt Chris for coming down to cut my hair....you're just so awesome. Also, thank you Cryston for the beautiful scrapbook of Paige and our family ... it's priceless! Love, Andy,Sandi & Paige |
