Unfortunately, we don't have good news to share. Paige has multiple new sites in her head, lungs and a new site on her right elbow. With these new findings surgery and stem cell transplant are not an option at this time. After much discussion between her oncologists at Hurley and the University of Michigan they've decided to start her on a different chemotherapy regimen (Irinotecan/Vincristine). She will start tomorrow, outpatient for 5 days. They will most likely re-scan her at the end of 2 courses (approximately 6 weeks).
Needless to say, we are devastated and heartbroken by what we've learned today. Please continue to pray for us.
