Hi again to everyone. On Friday we returned to the clinic since Paige continued to complain of left leg pain and was refusing to walk. I had given her Tylenol for pain, but she was still up numerous times during the night Thursday crying. Since the cancer metastasis in her legs makes her more susceptible to bone fractures they decided to do x-rays. The films were negative, so we can only assume that she either sprained it, or the pain is due to the cancer. The Tylenol with codeine has helped, but she still refuses to walk. It's heartbreaking to see her in pain.
Paige is scheduled this week for her repeat MIBG and CT scans this week. She's scheduled to be injected with the dye tomorrow afternoon, the MIBG scan will be early Tuesday morning, and again Wednesday morning followed by the CT of her head, abdomen and chest. Realistically we won't have an official report until Monday, even though I'll be pushing for results on Friday. We should know by next week what the surgical plan will be.
Since we'll be spending so much time there over the next 3 days we decided to make the best of it and stay in Ann Arbor. We're staying at a hotel close to shopping and restaurants. Paige loves swimming, so we made sure to find a place with an indoor pool.
